Understanding Why Men Sometimes Perceive Successful Women As Threats In Marriage – Blessing CEO

Blessing Okoro, also known as Blessing CEO and a self-described relationship therapist, has provided an explanation for why some men see successful women as a danger to their marriages.

In an interview, Blessing CEO stated that the problem is not that men are afraid of women’s achievement, but rather the shift in mindset that frequently follows.

“No man is intimidated by your success. They are only afraid of the masculinity that comes with success. Because when a woman starts to make money on her own, she automatically becomes a man.

“Once you can provide, you automatically become a man. You will see yourself subconsciously dragging might. Because at the end of the day, what makes a man powerful is the ability to provide. That is what gives him that mantle.

“So I always tell women, no matter how much you have, just remember to be soft. Remember that you are a woman. Because once you start to show your husband that might saying, “Oh, my salary is bigger” he will do everything. Either he starts to cheat and look for a woman that is softer, or he leaves the marriage.”
