Unexpected Encounter

We never know when we’ll encounter Jesus. He often meets us in the everyday moments of life. A Samaritan woman once met Him while going about her daily duties. She wasn’t actively seeking Him, but her heart was longing for something more (John 4:5-30).

Doing our daily duties is often where we find Jesus. We’ll never find Him by disobeying or ignoring our responsibilities. This woman didn’t recognize Jesus at first. He appeared to her as a weary traveler and only later revealed His true identity.

Jesus often comes to us in unexpected ways, earning our trust and love before revealing Himself. We may unknowingly encounter Him in someone who needs our help. So, let’s be kind to everyone, no matter how insignificant they may seem. We never know when we’re serving Jesus Himself.
