Peller, a well-known content developer from Nigeria, revealed that most of the dollar bills he received at his recent wedding ceremony with his wife, Jarvis, were counterfeit.
Peller stated in a recent livestream that when he took the money to the bank following the wedding, he discovered that a sizable portion of it was fake.
“The majority of the money was fake when I went to the bank to change the dollars after my wedding,” he claimed.
He says that while some guests gave him real money, others sprayed him with counterfeit dollars. He went on, “The people that gave me real money, I know them,” adding that he could recognize those who gave him real money with ease.
He lamented that many of the dollar notes he had received and posted online after his wedding were actually fake.
It’s truly baffling why some Nigerians behave this way. If you know you don’t have enough money, there’s no need to pretend or spray fake notes just to show off. Instead, why not sit back, enjoy the celebration, and be genuinely happy for the couple? True joy comes from participation and good vibes, not from superficial displays.
