A 73-year-old retiree has passed away following an incident where she was struck by her personal car in the parking area outside a physician’s clinic in Kirkstall, Leeds, United Kingdom.
First responders arrived at the location of Abbey Grange Medical Practice situated on Norman Street shortly before 5:00 p.m. on October 29, after notifications indicated that a female individual had been hit by her automobile.
West Yorkshire Police have indicated that the lady’s Kia Picanto was apparently positioned on a minor incline at the time when it unexpectedly moved in reverse, causing her to fall onto the pavement. Even though the medical team worked tirelessly to resuscitate her, she was declared deceased right there on site.
Through an official release, authorities verified: “Officers were called to reports that a 73-year-old woman had been in collision with her own vehicle. It’s believed the car rolled back and struck her. Sadly, she was pronounced dead at the scene.”
The department has initiated a request for observers, encouraging those present in the vicinity during that period or possessing any dashboard camera recordings related to the event to step up and share details.
The investigative team is pressing for individuals holding any details to reach out to West Yorkshire Police using the 101 line or by means of the interactive chat feature on their website, making reference to reference code 1298 from October 29.
Authorities have offered their sympathies to the deceased’s relatives and noted that the probe continues in order to fully clarify the details behind this heartbreaking mishap.
