Woman Found Dead With Part Of Her Flesh Eaten By Her Five Dogs

The dead body of a woman, identified as Ana Inés de Marotte, was discovered in her home, having been eaten by dogs, following complaints about a “bad smell.”

Police were called to a residence in the Airport area of Santa Rosa, Argentina, after complaints from neighbours about a “nauseous smell” emanating from the house for a week.

The body of Ana Inés de Marotte, who had been eaten in part by her five dogs, was found when they broke down the door on December 31.

The 67-year-old woman was reported “disappeared” during the second week of December, but she was later discovered in the Santa Rosa Sanatorium and released that same day, according to the Infopico website.

She had visited the Santa Rosa Sanatorium to receive medical treatment for a condition, and she was admitted despite not having any family in the area.

Marotte was released from the hospital, went back home, and was discovered dead a week later with her dogs also trapped inside the house.

According to Fernando Martin Cortez, commissioner of Santa Rosa’s Second Section, the police were called to the house because of the revolting odour that was prevalent. When they entered the room, Marotte was already dead on the floor.

The victim passed away from cardiorespiratory arrest, and prosecutor scar Alfredo Cazenave confirmed that the dogs later consumed a chunk of her face and ears.

Ana Inés de Marotte probably lived a closed-up life; having no contact with friends or family, as it appears no one knew much about her activities

She was dead for over a week and there was no call or report from family, a friend or even the workplace of her being missing or not responding to calls.

We should try to keep in contact with people and let at least one person know our whereabouts in case anything goes wrong.

May her soul rest in peace…
