Woman K!lled By Her Boyfriend In Suspected Love Triangle

Police in Machakos, Kenya, are looking for a man who reportedly killed his lover, Vero.

According to a statement issued on Monday by Machakos County Police Commander Patrick Lobolia, the event occurred on Sunday night, February 16, 2025, at a rented property in the Muvuti district on the outskirts of Machakos town.

Lobolia believes the sad tragedy was caused by a love triangle.

“The incident is suspected to be out of a love triangle. The man reportedly invited the woman to his rented house in the Muvuti area within Machakos subcounty, apparently r3ped her before k!lling her,” Lobolia said.

Lobolia stated that the matter was submitted to the Machakos police station as a murder occurrence.

He stated that officers from the Machakos police station came to the location and processed it before removing the body, which was transported to the Machakos Level 5 hospital morgue for autopsy.

According to the police chief, officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations stationed at Machakos police station have begun an investigation into the event.

“The DCI officers are already investigating the incident, they are in hot pursuit of the suspect,” Lobolia said.

He criticized the act, saying that no one should take the law into their own hands.
