Yul Edochie Reacts To Tonto Dikeh’s Emergence As A Deputy Governorship Candidate

The announcement of Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh as the African Democratic Congress’s (ADC) deputy governorship candidate in Rivers State has prompted a response from Yul Edochie.

ADC governorship candidate Tonte Ibraye announced Tonto Dikeh as his running mate in a statement uploaded on Instagram on Friday, as previously reported by AgnesIsika Blog.

The statement partly read, “After a series of consultations with leaders of our party the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Rivers State and the national level, I’m glad to announce Amb. Tonto Dikeh ‘Tonto let ’ as my running mate for the 2023 gubernatorial election in Rivers State.”

Reacting with a post on his Instagram page, Edochie claimed that running for public office is among the best things a person can possibly accomplish.

Whatever the outcome of the election may be, Yul told Tonto Dikeh that she had begun a journey that would change her life.

He said: “Congratulations to my friend and colleague, Tonto Dikeh, on your nomination as the deputy governorship candidate of your party.

“Running for office is one of the best things one can ever do in life. It will make you understand clearly how Nigeria truly works.

“There is never a loss in it. It is either you win or you learn and come back stronger. Whatever happens, just know that you have kicked off a life-changing journey. Best of luck.”
