2,500 Not 25,000: Kaduna Police Corrects Error in Security Personnel Deployment

Kaduna Police has corrected a previous press release error, clarifying that the personnel deployment for security was not 25,000.

The Kaduna State Police Command has issued a correction regarding a previous press release dated July 31, 2024, with the headline: Kaduna State Police Command In Synergy with Other Security Sister Agencies Embark on a Confidence Building Show of Force Operation.

The original statement, which referred to a “show of force” operation, inaccurately reported that 25,000 personnel were deployed.

The Police Command clarified that they made a possible deployment of sufficient number personnel and not the twenty five thousand as stated in the release.

The Command emphasized that the deployment was designed to ensure law and order before and during a potential protest, not as a standalone figure.

The Police Command apologised for any confusion or inconvenience caused by the erroneous information and requested the public to disregard the inaccuracies in the previous release.

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
