Edo State Plans State Burial For Uwaifo

Edo State Plans State Burial For Uwaifo

Edo State Government, yesterday, said it would organise a state burial for the late music maestro, Prof. Victor Uwaifo, who died on August 28, 2021.

Life, unfortunately, means there has to be death. It is inevitable, and as much as we hate losing those special people from our lives we have to come to terms with it.

In a statement, Osaigbovo Iyoha, Chief of Staff (CoS) to Governor Godwin Obaseki, said the government was perfecting arrangements with the family of the late music legend to ensure a successful state burial.

Uwaifo died at the age of 80, having led an illustrious career as a musician, artist and art teacher, elevating the culture, experience and sound of Edo people to the global audience.

Obaseki, who approved a state burial for Uwaifo, said: “The Edo State Government is working with the Uwaifo family to ensure a seamless state burial. Arrangements are in top gear and we will disclose more details of the burial in conjunction with the family.”

No matter what we say, we can never bring you back in life. We just want to pray to God so he keeps you in the best place with the saints in heaven.

Rest in peace sir.

“A lot of companies have chosen to downsize, and maybe that was the right thing for them. We chose a different path. Our belief was that if we kept putting great products in front of customers, they would continue to open their wallets.”
