THURSDAY OF THE THIRTEENTH WEEK IN THE ORDINARY TIME – 1 /7/2021

READINGS

1st Reading: Genesis 22:1-19: The sacrifice of Isaac

Resp. Psalm: 114(116):1-6, 8-9: I will walk in the presence of the Lord in the land of the living.

Gospel: Matthew 9:1-8: your sins are forgiven: get up and walk.

REFLECTION

Our God is a great provider and deliverer. He has the power to deliver and save you, if you have faith and trust in Him. Abraham wanted to sacrifice is son Isaac as instructed by God. God stopped that move and Isaac was delivered from death as an offering and replaced with a ram cut up in a bush that was provided by God. God tested the faith of Abraham and Abraham grew in his level of faith-relationship with God.

We also see that spiritual growth in. the faith relationship of the people who brought the paralytic to Jesus in today’s gospel. They believed that Jesus can heal the paralytic. Jesus does not only heal him but wiped away all his sins. Only God has the power to forgive us our sins. Only God can change our lives. Only God can wipe away our tears and better our understanding. We need to constantly grow in our faith and trust in him. When you choose to have faith and hope in God and His Divine Providence, all things are possible.

Discover one step you can take this new month that might open the door to the truth for you and the hope that is always available to you. Remember, hope is the key to possibility and your faith is what supports every area of your life.
Happy New Month

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
