Adesua Etomi Shares Her Bittersweet Journey To Motherhood

Actress Adesua Etomi-Wellington has shared her challenging journey to motherhood in honor of Mother’s Day.

On Instagram, Adesua showed her undying dedication to her sons in spite of the difficulties, saying she would gladly face them again for them.

Etomi’s emotional introspection brought to light the many difficulties she encountered, such as a difficult pregnancy, an unexpected cesarean section, insomnia, and physical tribulations.

She wrote: “Today, I’m taking the time to think about my journey to motherhood. It wasn’t a straight road, but when I look at my boys, it is well worth it. The tough pregnancy journey, to the complications, to the injections, to the emergency c-section, to the sleepless nights, to the tough healing process, to the post-birth constipation, to the expressing endlessly, to bleeding and cracked nipples, to showing up and being present even when ill, to round-the-clock shifts, to the joy, to the indescribable love, to the triumph, to the laughter, to the beautiful moments. I’ll do it all again for these boys. I will literally do anything for them.
To all the mothers who are mothering, we are the closest thing to magic. Happy Mothering Day”.

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
