Bandits K!ll Pastor And Three Others In Fresh Plateau Attack

Armed bandits launched an assault on Suwa and Ding’ak villages in the Mushere chiefdom of Bokkos Local Government Area, Plateau State, resulting in the deaths of four three individuals, including a pastor.

Reports indicate that the attack took place between 1pm and 2pm on Friday, August 8, 2025.

Kefas Mallai, the Chairman of Community Peace Observers in Bokkos, verified the killings in a statement to Punch in Jos on Friday night.

Mallai named the victims as Pastor Gideon Katings of COCIN Suwa, Sunday Ringkang, and Meshach Bukata.

He further noted that Michael Kamshak and several others sustained injuries and are presently undergoing treatment at Cottage Hospital, Bokkos.

“Between 1:00 hours and 2:00 today, Friday, 8th August 2025, Suwa and Ding’ak villages in Mushere chiefdom of Bokkos LGA were attacked by terrorists leading to the untimely d3ath of three, including Pst Gideon Katings of COCIN Suwa, Sunday Ringkang, and Meshach Bukata; while Michael Kamshak and others were injured and currently receiving treatment at Cottage Hospital Bokkos. Several residents in their hundreds have been displaced,” he said.

It was also reported that the attackers had previously killed Stephen Ngumap, a former choirmaster and current assistant secretary of RCC Ik’ngwakap, Mushere.
