The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) said on Friday said bankers will return to work on Saturday to collect old naira notes from customers.

Kama Ukpai, head of CBN team for Ebonyi’s new naira banknotes, made the announcement during an awareness campaign for traders at Eke marketplace in Afikpo.

Ukpai has advised the public to deposit old naira notes in banks as the January 31 deadline for filing banknotes will not be extended.
