BBNaija’s Rachel Edwards Under Fire For ‘Car Or Leave’ Relationship Advice

Former Big Brother Naija housemate Rachel Edwards has set the internet on fire with her recent advice to women.

Rachel Edwards urges them to leave any man who doesn’t plan on buying them a car. Taking to the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), Rachel boldly states, “If he has no intention of buying you a car, leave him!!!”

As expected, her tweet quickly went viral, stirring reactions from social media users. Many found her statement problematic, while others used humour to counter her viewpoint.

One user, I Am B Model, said, “If she has no intention of selling her father’s land and giving it to you as a sign of love, leave her.”

The backlash continued, with Thinzy Star criticizing, “This is why men are avoiding broke entitled women,” while Amanda Eze01 questioned, “Sorry ma. Women don’t buy cars in your family? Cause what is this nonsense?”

Nails_Dairy added, “Don’t expect from anyone what you cannot give yourself.” Others like Nelly Unique took the opportunity to call out Rachel’s lesser-known status, commenting, “The ex-bbn housemate that we never knew existed.”

Chike Jennifer, retorted, “But you didn’t leave your father.”

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
