Davido Set To Donate ₦300 Million To Charity In Honor Of His Birthday

Afrobeats musician David Adeleke, best known by his professional name Davido, announced on X that he is prepared to begin his yearly donation to charitable organizations and orphanages.

The megastar has decided to make the donation on November 21, 2024, his upcoming 32nd birthday.

This will be the musician’s fourth donation that has been made public. As you may remember, Davido gave 292 orphans ₦250 million in November 2021. His 29th birthday was celebrated with this.

The ‘Awuke’ singer donated an additional ₦237 million to more than 400 Nigerian orphanages in July 2023.

Then, in February 2024, he revealed a new contribution of ₦300 million made in partnership with with his foundation, David Adeleke Foundation.

The post he made read, “I and my foundation pledge the sum of 300 million Naira to orphanages around Nigeria … as my yearly contribution to the Nation ❤️ .. details of disbursement tomorrow.”

Now, ahead of his 32nd birthday, he wrote on his X (formerly Twitter) page, “Once again my birthday this year, we donating to orphanages and a charity that helps young people stay away from drug abuse & addiction. This year is N300m . Details to follow soon ❤️.”
