Debate Over Abuja Man’s Violent Discipline Of Wife

A disturbing footage of a man in Abuja brutally beating his wife with a bat has gone viral, sparking outrage and fresh demands for justice and police intervention.

Harrison Gwamnishu, a Nigerian human rights activist, has demanded immediate justice in response to a horrifying video that went viral online that depicts a woman being brutally abused by her husband in Abuja.

According to reports, the incident happened on Sunday night close to Wumba 1 Transformer in the capital city’s Apo Area 1. A guy is seen pulling his wife to the ground and repeatedly hitting her with a table tennis bat in the video, which has since gone popular on Nigerian news and social media sites.

As the hits generally land, the woman is seen protecting her face on the ground.

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
