On behalf of the Federal Government, Interior Minister Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo made the announcement and congratulated the whole Muslim Ummah on this moment, both home and abroad.

In addition to using the occasion to pray for a peaceful and prosperous Nigeria, he urged the Muslim Ummah to keep up the spirit of faith and sacrifice that Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) embodied.

The Minister gave Nigerians the assurance that the people-oriented reforms and initiatives implemented as part of President Bola Tinubu’s Administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda will put the country back on the path to development.
