Galatasaray To Make £42m Bid For Victor Osimhen Permanently

Galatasaray, a Turkish club, is reportedly contemplating a £42 million bid for Victor Osimhen in January to make his loan deal with Napoli permanent.

Osimhen joined the Turkish club on a season-long loan in September, following speculation that he might leave the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

Since joining the Turkish club, the 25-year-old has scored four goals in as many starts and provided two assists.

As a result, Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk is apparently desperate to sign Osimhen on a permanent basis, although money remains a big stumbling block.

Napoli is thought to have agreed to a £63 million release clause if a club outside of Serie A expresses interest.

However, according to Turkish newspaper Sozcu, while Galatasaray is unable to reach that fee, they would still seek a proposal from Osimhen when the January market opens.

According to the source, Galatasaray is willing to offer a club record £42 million with the support of a sponsor in order to outbid Chelsea and PSG.

If the deal is completed, it will break the club’s current transfer record for a single player, more than doubling the £15 million they paid Norwich this summer to buy Brazilian midfielder Gabriel Sara.

The reports came just one month after Osimhen brazenly revealed his transfer value, claiming that there are few players in the world of football with his skill.

“I am worth over 100 million euros.’ Osimhen told TMW.

“There are few players in the world like me, who have reached such style and success. It all relates to my characteristics, what I do, and my quality. Therefore, I believe I deserve it.

“I am aware of my contribution and what I can achieve, even in my private life. Do people think differently? Some say 15 million, others 100-120-150….. Everyone has their own opinion.”

A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.
