Gospel Singer Of 50 Years Old Says She Won’t Get Married Until God Permits Her

Ghanaian gospel singer Diana Asamoah, 50, has publicly announced her choice to put off getting married for an indeterminate period of time.

Speaking with Empress Gifty on UTV’s “U-Cook,” she said that she is resolved to wait for God’s approval before getting married, even though she has had several marriage proposals.

Diana revealed in the interview that she had received marriage proposals from a number of males, including members of the clergy. She has, however, declined every proposal, stating that she feels God has not yet shown her the ideal mate.

“I have met a lot of men, including men of God. While some of them came with genuine intentions, others were fake. Until I get an approval from God, I will never marry any of them. I will get married and have children at God’s appointed time,” Diana stated firmly during the show.

Personally, I feel the Lord speaks to us in ways we often miss. He has many ways of speaking, including through the Bible, prayer, circumstances, spiritual gifts, common sense wisdom, conviction, his character, his peace, natural things, and even in times of silence. I pray that we will be patient enough to hear him speak to us.

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
