Introduction
Faith is the channel through which God’s power flows and becomes visible in our lives
We live in a world that respects power: political power, financial power, military power. But as believers, we serve a God whose power is unmatched. The question isn’t whether God has power. The question is: how does that power become visible in and through us?
Our texts today give us the answer. In Acts 6:8, we see Stephen, _“full of faith and power, doing great wonders and miracles.”_
In Mark 11, Jesus tells us that faith moves mountains. In Acts 14, a lame man is healed because he had faith to be healed. In Matthew 17, Jesus tells His disciples that their lack of faith is why they couldn’t cast out a demon.
The pattern is clear: *power is demonstrated through faith*. Faith is not the source of power, God is. But faith is the channel, the connector, the condition that allows God’s power to flow.
3 truths to consider about this.
1. *Faith Positions Us to Carry God’s Power*
*Text: Acts 6:8*
_“And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people.”_
Notice the order. Stephen was full of faith first, and then full of power. He wasn’t a super-apostle. He was a deacon chosen to serve tables. But because he was full of faith, God’s _dynamis_—His miracle-working power—rested on him.
Faith positions us. It makes us a vessel that God can trust with His power. Without faith, we can have position, title, or knowledge, but we’ll be powerless in practice.
God is looking for people who are full of faith. Not people with perfect theology, but people who trust Him fully. When you’re full of faith, you become a conduit for wonders and miracles.
2. *Faith Activates God’s Power*
*Text: Mark 11:22-24; Acts 14:8-10*
In Mark 11, Jesus says faith without doubt releases the power to move mountains and receive answers to prayer. The power was always there, but faith activates it.
In Acts 14, Paul preached, and the lame man listened. But Paul didn’t just pray automatically. _“He saw that he had faith to be healed.”_ That man’s faith created the opening for healing power to work.
For example, faith is like turning the key in the ignition. The engine has power, but nothing moves until the key turns. Many of us are waiting for God to move, but God is waiting for us to believe.

What mountain are you facing? What area needs healing, provision, or breakthrough? Jesus says, _“Have faith in God.”_ Believe that He can and will do it, and you will see power activated.
3. *Lack of Faith Limits the Demonstration of Power*
*Text: Matthew 17:19-20*
The disciples had been given authority to cast out demons. Yet they failed. When they asked why, Jesus said, _“Because of your little faith.”_ Then He added, _“If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, nothing will be impossible for you.”_
This tells us two things:
First, the problem wasn’t God’s power. The power was available. Second, even a small measure of real faith is enough to unlock it.
Sometimes we excuse our powerlessness by saying, “It’s not God’s will.” But often, the real issue is our little faith. Unbelief, doubt, and fear choke the flow of God’s power.
God is not limited. Our faith is. Let’s stop blaming God for what our unbelief is blocking. Ask Him today, _“Lord, increase my faith.”_
*Conclusion*
Acts 6:8, Mark 11:22-24, Acts 14:8-10, and Matthew 17:19-20 all point to the same truth: *power is demonstrated through faith*.

God hasn’t changed. He is still the God of wonders and miracles. But He works through faith. The question for you today is: Are you full of faith? Will you believe Him enough to see His power demonstrated in your life, family, and situation?
