Is Your Faith Deep Enough?

Daniel 7:1-10; 13-14
Matthew 17:1-19

The Incarnation, the Transfiguration, the Eucharist and the Resurrection of Jesus are key moments in our Lord’s life. The first that is, the incarnation paved way for other miracles to be performed and ultimately with the resurrection, we have faith in him. Today we celebrate one of these important milestones of our faith, that is, the Transfiguration of our Lord. This event happened when the Christ took some of his disciples i.é, Peter, James and John up the mountain and before their presence he was transfigured and his clothes became dazzling white.

At Transfiguration, the Lord demonstrated his divine power and revealed his glory; the glory he had before the foundation of the world. Christ showed his divine nature to his disciples in order to strengthen their faith so that during his passion they will remember that He is God and all that he has said will be fulfilled. That is why Peter would say,”We know He is Messiah and will reign as Messiah because we saw His physical glory’ .The revelation and miracles of God in our lives is for us to have a firm foundation as true disciples in our faith journey. Our faith in God strengthens us and help us to become closer to God. Remember, “A little faith will bring your soul to heaven, but a lot of faith will bring heaven to your soul’.

Believing in the transfiguration is not enough unless we ourselves are transfigured in our hearts and minds. The Transfiguration also bears witness to our future hope after our sojourn in life. Jesus is our hope and through the Holy Spirit, we are confident that Christ has gone to prepare a place for us. The Lord is with us always and He continues to sustain us with His body and blood as we journey back to Him. Peace be with you!

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
