Just In: Bomb Explosion Rocks Kogi State Government Office

There has been concern in some parts of Lokoja, Kogi State, following a loud explosion that was heard from the property housing the office of the Secretary to the Kogi State Government, Dr Folashade Arike Ayoade.

The event, according to DAILY POST, took place early on Tuesday.

All efforts to contact the Kogi State Police Command were unsuccessful as Williams Ovye Aya, a spokesman for the command, was unavailable to answer his phone and did not reply to the texts sent to him.

The state has experienced multiple bomb blast occurrences in recent times.

On June 3, 2022, a bomb went off in the Idoji area of the state’s Okene Local Government Area, killing one citizen and injuring many others.
