Hello Mothers! Hope we are good? We are still discussing parenting skills because of their great importance to our children and the society.

Society will face so many problems when the family fails in its primary responsibility as recorded in Proverbs 22:6: “train up a child in the way he should go”…….
The importance of good parenting to the child and society cannot be overemphasized. The reason is that the home is the First School for every child while the parents, the First Teachers. What the child learned from home he/she exhibits out and this has either a positive or negative impact on his/her immediate environment. For example; a child who is used to getting whatever he/she want at all cost may become a bully in society. If such a child desires to be first in class at all costs but is unable to do so because the child in that position is extremely brilliant, he or she will do everything possible, right or wrong, to bring the child in first place down. If the child who wants to be the first in class at all costs has friends who adore him/her, there is a strong likelihood that they will join him in that behavior and become a nuisance in the society, bullying and harming anyone who gets in their way. Our daily decisions and actions, as Mothers influence how our children interpret and perceive the society, and this determines their attitudes toward society.

Good parenting skills have been discussed in the previous article.

Though it’s tough, trust me,the result is fulfilling. This is because;
It determines how a child develops physically, emotionally, socially, morally, and intellectually.

Builds healthy habits
Makes a child resilient: this is the quality that helps a child to adapt to unpleasant life issues.

It fosters cultural tolerance
Promotes emotional stability: this makes the child less impulsive and more emotionally competent.
It makes the child have self-esteem. It reduces the chances of negative behavior.

Though good parenting is tough and challenging, it result is fulfilling. It helps our kids have good characters, which makes them contribute positively to the society. It also reduces the chances of undesirable behavior in our children and makes them good citizens in society.
