A 30-year-old man named Fred Gitau was discovered dead a day before his wedding in Kenya.
Gitau, a pastor and online cab driver in kenya, was due to marry Joyce Waithira on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Deliverance Church Kahawa Sukari.
He was discovered dead at his home on Friday, August 25, with white foam pouring from his mouth.
The cause of his death could not be determined right away.
Fred was dropped home by a friend on Thursday night, according to journalist Simon Mythiora.
Fred is said to have texted his sister earlier in the evening, advising her that “if anything ever happened to him, they should ask a certain person.”
An unknown person allegedly locked Gitau in his residence and threw the keys on his mother’s balcony.

When the mother discovered the key the next morning, she assumed his son had thrown the keys and departed for church.
Fred’s mother was informed that a meeting had been arranged by his son and would take place at church on Friday morning.
She assumed her son had already left when she discovered the keys on the balcony. However, Fred was not at the church when she arrived.
That’s when the church members informed her that it was her son who had requested the meeting, but he wasn’t answering the phone. She dialed his number but received no response.
One of the church members saw something was wrong and advised they go home and check on him.
They returned in a convoy and discovered Fred dead. There were no suicide notes.
Friends said Fred was doing well and had built his mother a magnificent bungalow.
They say he was a happy person who was close to her mother. He never displayed any signs of despair or anxiety.
A postmortem will be performed at Kenyatta University Hospital, on Monday, August 28.
