Manchester United are reportedly open to accepting proposals for Marcus Rashford in January.
Rashford, 27, has 138 goals for United since joining as an 18-year-old in 2016, although despite a standout season in 2022-23, he has struggled to duplicate that form since.
During that remarkable season, the forward scored 30 goals and signed a new five-year contract earning an estimated £325,000 per week shortly after.
However, he only added eight goals in 2023-24 and has four Premier League goals this season. According to Sky Sports Deutschland, United are willing to sell their academy goods.
According to the source, Rashford is not considered an unsellable asset even though the team recognizes his progress under Amorim, which has seen him score three goals in two Premier League starts.
The Telegraph also stated that United believes the forward is not focusing enough and is worried about his lifestyle off the field.
Rashford is dealing with a lot of distractions, which could have affected his performance on matchday, according to sources who spoke to the site.
The team may try to move Rashford in the summer, but they are also open to proposals for the forward in January.
Rashford’s pay, which ranks among the highest in the club, is thought to enhance United’s Financial Fair Play (FFP) status if he leaves.
This would allow the Red Devils more flexibility in the transfer market, especially as Rashford is under contract until the summer of 2028.
The FFP factor is especially relevant at a time when part-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe is implementing cost-cutting measures at the club, and United also spent about £15 million in compensation to fire former manager Erik ten Hag.
