NDLEA Nabs Abuja Businesswoman Who Grows Cannabis At Her Backyard

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has detained Onyinye Nwoke, an Abuja businesswoman, for cultivating and selling cannabis.

The agency’s spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, said in a statement on Sunday, September 4, that the 38-year-old woman was arrested following an intelligence-led operation at her residence, House 56 Aldenco Estate, Galadimawa, FCT.

Babafemi claims that operatives pulled up brand-new cannabis plant stems that were growing in the home’s backyard.

The spokesperson said, “The uprooted plants weighed 18.4kgs while 800grams of cannabis seeds were also recovered from the house.”
