Nigeria Ranks 5th In The world In Daily Social Media Usage (Full list)

Nigerians have been named fifth among the world’s top social media users in 2024.

According to 2024 Cable.co.uk and We Are Social data published by World of Statistics on X on Sunday, the nation ranked fifth in the world for the average amount of time spent online each day.

Nigerians use social media for an average of three hours and twenty-three minutes per day, according to the data.

At three hours and forty-three minutes a day, Kenya topped the list of countries where people spend the most time on social media. With 3 hours and 37 minutes, South Africa comes in second, followed by Brazil (3 hours and 34 minutes) and the Philippines (3 hours and 33 minutes).

Nigeria is just behind these nations in terms of social media engagement, with an average of 3 hours and 23 minutes.

Other nations with high social media usage include Ghana (2 hours and 43 minutes), Egypt (2 hours and 41 minutes), and Thailand (2 hours and 30 minutes).

Saudi Arabia and Argentina complete the top ten with daily averages of 3 hours and 10 minutes and 3 hours and 8 minutes, respectively.
