OPEN LETTER TO THE IKWUANO COMMUNITY

Let’s Stop Gambling with Our Opportunities – The Time for Forward Thinking Is Now!

Dear Sons and Daughters of Ikwuano,

This is a clarion call. A heartfelt appeal. A reminder of who we are—and who we must become again.

For too long, Ikwuano has drifted in the tides of political uncertainty and missed opportunities. Time and again, we have seen our collective interest mortgaged on the altar of political convenience and shallow permutations. We’ve played the waiting game, gambling with our future—hoping that leadership will rise by default, instead of by design.

But how much longer can we wait?

Leadership is not about noise or occupying a seat—it is about vision, responsibility, courage, compassion, and results.

And that is why we must boldly say:
The time for forward thinking is now.
The man for the moment is Ugwumba Chika Ishionwu.

Why Ugwumba Chika?

He is not a stranger to us. He has walked our paths, felt our pains, invested in our youth, comforted our elders, and proven—through action—that he means well for Ikwuano.

  1. When our children lacked access to education, he paid for their JAMB forms and sponsored many on academic scholarships.
  2. When the people needed access to healthcare, he restored Solar power Inverter system to provide 24 hours electricity to Olori General Hospital, sponsored free medical outreaches, and personally intervened in critical medical cases.
  3. When market women and farmers struggled with transport, he provided a free shuttle service.
  4. When our communities cried for attention, he gave his time, his treasure, his voice.
  5. When our indigent elderly wept in silence, he provided monthly support that wiped away their tears and restored their dignity.
  6. When our youths came seeking direction, Chika became a pillar of hope—guiding them with opportunities and mentorship.

All of this—not as a government official, but as a passionate, compassionate son of Ikwuano.
That is true leadership.

Let’s Get It Right in 2027

Let us no longer allow recycled mediocrity and unfruitful zoning to rob us of meaningful progress.

Let us not chase shadows while the light of real leadership shines before us.

Ugwumba Chika Ishionwu is the real deal—humble in approach, bold in action, tested in service, and deeply rooted in our values.

We must rise above sentiments, above political trading, above short-term favors—and embrace a long-term vision for Ikwuano. A vision where dignity is restored, opportunities unlocked, and development becomes our new reality.

A Charge to Umu Ikwuano

To our youth: take your destiny seriously—be involved.

To our elders: guide us with wisdom—help us choose wisely.

To every voter: vote competence over compensation.

To political stakeholders: put Ikwuano first—above party or personality.

Chika Ishionwu has earned our trust. He deserves our support.

And Ikwuano deserves a voice like his in the Abia State House of Assembly come 2027.

The Future Is Ours to Shape

Let us not look back in 2027 and say: “Had we known…”

Let this be the moment we reclaim our dignity and rewrite our political story.

Let this be the era of development over drama, service over slogans, and results over rhetoric.

Together, let us stop gambling with our chances.
Let us start building—with Ugwumba Chika Ishionwu.

Ikwuano, the time is now.

Let us move forward—decisively, united, and with purpose.
