Pep Guardiola Wins EPL Manager Of The Season Award

Pep Guardiola has been crowned the 2023/24 Premier League Manager of the Season, following a remarkable season with Manchester City.

The Premier League, English football’s premier flight, made the announcement on its website.

Guardiola guided City to become the first team in history to win four successive Premier League titles.

He has received this honour five times now. Other times include 2017/18, 2018/19, 2020/21, and 2022/23.

Only legendary Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has won the accolade more (11 times) than the 53-year-old Spaniard.

After receiving the title, Guardiola stated that he “will defend” his Manager of the Season honour in 2024/25, but that he wants to share this season’s medal with his fellow nominees who pushed City to their best.

“I want to share it, yes, oh yes! Especially with Mikel [Arteta] for the incredible job he has done until the last game, bringing us to our limits,” said Guardiola.

“Of course, for Jurgen [Klopp], for the unforgettable battles for many, many years. And Unai Emery, is doing something unbelievable again to bring Aston Villa to the [UEFA] Champions League.

“And Andoni Iraola, with Bournemouth, being his first season in the Premier League, doing what he has done, coming back from the tough start of the season.

“It is an honour to be alongside all of them and to win this trophy. We will defend this award as best as possible in the future.”

A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.

“A lot of companies have chosen to downsize, and maybe that was the right thing for them. We chose a different path. Our belief was that if we kept putting great products in front of customers, they would continue to open their wallets.”
