Former Big Brother Naija winner Josephina Otabor, better known by her stage name as Phyna, has offered support to BBNaija All Stars finalist Imisi, who was recently publicly criticized by her mother for allegedly neglecting her finances.
Since the show’s conclusion, Imisi’s mother has frequently accused her daughter of not “giving her money,” a claim that has caused a flurry of social media comments.
Her message read:
“To Imisi, @imisiofficial and to anyone walking through the same fire… I’m praying for your strength. My own experience broke me, but I’m slowly rising. And I’m rooting for you with everything in me, don’t handle it like I did, build strong and focus on you baby girl.”
Phyna’s public show of empathy has drawn attention because she was also heavily criticised by her parents shortly after her win, with both sides trading accusations online. Her latest message appears to be a reflection of her own painful journey and an attempt to encourage Imisi to stay focused.
