Police Arrest Lady After Raising False Alarm Of Being Kidnapped

Ameerah Sufiyanu, a Twitter user who claimed she was abducted from her house last week, has been arrested by the Federal Capital Territory Police Command.

Sufiyanu resorted to Twitter to say that she and 16 other people had been kidnapped. Last Monday, the police issued a statement refuting her abduction claims and informing the public that she had been found.

Ameerah apologized on Twitter on Monday, June 20 to the general public, the police, friends, and family for raising a false alarm.

She said she was never abducted, but rather left her house and walked into the bush, where she starved herself and became dehydrated.

She tweeted, “Good day all, I would like to formally apologise to the general public, to the whole police department, and my friends and family for misleading them with the below tweet. Nothing of such happened and it was all just my delusions and negative thinking.

“I intentionally took myself out of our house, went to these locations, entered bushes and dehydrated and starved myself for four days just like that; there was no kidnapping, nothing at all. I truly apologise and please pray for me, I need it.”

However, Ameerah is being held in police custody while an investigation is carried out, according to the FCT police headquarters.

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
