Political Thugs: Peter Obi Laments Attack On An ‘Obi-dient’

Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, has criticized the alleged political thugs’ attack on Mr. Joshua Alamu, one of his supporters.

According to reports, Mr. Alamu was attacked on Saturday during a sensitization for the 2023 presidential election in several areas of Nasarawa State.

Concerned Nigerians responded to the development by calling for a thorough investigation to identify those responsible for the terrible incident.

In response, the Labour Party candidate reaffirmed his desire for a supportive atmosphere where everyone may express their fundamental human rights without fear of reprisal in a tweet on his verified Twitter account.

He wrote, “Once again, I wish to stress that Nigerian civic and political space must remain open for the Nigerian people to exercise their constitutional rights of freedom of assembly.

“Physical attacks on individuals exercising such rights is utterly unacceptable. -PO”.
