Reps Direct NCC To Block All P0.rnographic Sites In Nigeria

The House of Representatives has today instructed the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) to mandate internet service providers across the nation to immediately restrict access to all websites featuring obscene and pornographic material.

The legislators adopted this resolution after a motion was introduced by Dalhatu Tafoki, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) representing Katsina state.

In presenting the motion, Tafoki contended that cyber prnography is increasingly a worldwide issue and that Nigeria, which he described as a ‘religious country’ that forbids nudity and prnography, has not sufficiently tackled this concern.

The parliamentarian noted that numerous nations throughout Asia, Africa, and the Middle East have implemented legislation prohibiting p*rnography.

He further referenced cautions from psychologists and sociologists regarding the harmful effects of prnography, such as its tendency to promote adultery, prstitution, and dependency.

“Renowned psychologists and sociologists around the world have issued stern warnings on the psychological, sociological and mental consequences of viewing p*rnographic content,” he stated.

Tajudeen Abbas, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, put the motion to a voice vote, and the lawmakers expressed their approval.

The House instructed the NCC to enforce sanctions on service providers that do not adhere to this directive.

A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
