Russian Mother Arrested For Hiring Assassin To Drown Her 12-Year-Old Daughter

A mother has been apprehended in Russia after allegedly paying a male acquaintance to murder her 12-year-old daughter because she was exhausted by her “bad behaviour”.

The woman, identified only as Svetlana, was arrested for allegedly offering £930 for the contract killing to drown her daughter in a local river in Chelyabinsk region, according to law enforcement.

The 46-year-old was unaware that the girl was secretly listening from behind a door and overheard her mother’s chilling request to kill her. Svetlana reportedly mentioned her strained relationship with her daughter as the motive for her attempt to have the girl killed, stating she was “tired” of the 12-year-old’s “bad behaviour” and their “constant arguments”.

After arranging her killing, the mother-of-four sent her daughter out of the house with the man – Andrey, 36 – in Izmailovsky, it is alleged.

“When they were walking along the road, the schoolgirl was very afraid and worried,” reported Shot news outlet, citing law enforcement. “But the man told her everything and promised to protect her. He hid the girl at his home and went to the police.”

The woman had offered to pay cash for drowning her in Bolshaya Karaganka River, the acquaintance hired to kill the girl informed officers.

Police detained the woman who faces up to 15 years in jail for incitement to murder a minor, if convicted. She was “unable to explain her actions” when questioned by officers.

The girl has been placed in care with two siblings, aged 17 and six. The detained woman also has an adult daughter, 18.

Last month, a Russian mother was detained after allegedly axing three of her four children to death and severing her baby’s head before dumping it in a cupboard. A courtroom heard that the head of 29-year-old Valentina Mytko’s youngest son – an infant aged just seven months old – had been cut off and was found in a cupboard.

A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.
