Job 9:1-13,14-16 Psalm 87(88):10-15 Matthew 18:1-5,10
Today, as we celebrate the memorial of our guardian angels we reflect on this notion, which, while not a dogma of Faith, finds its basis in the Bible. The Guardian Angel is viewed as a manifestation of God’s enduring love and divine care for each individual, a presence that extends throughout every day.
The Gospel emphasizes that even children have their own Guardian Angels, as stated, “See that you do not despise one of these little ones; for I tell you that in Heaven their angels always behold the face of my Father Who is in Heaven.” (Matthew 18:10) Additionally, Psalm 91:11 teaches, “For He has given His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.”
Today, we express our gratitude to God for this remarkable gift as we honor our Guardian Angels. It is important to recognize that our Guardian Angels are bestowed upon us by God from the very moment of our existence. As reflected in the Guardian Angel Prayer, our Guardian Angels are entrusted to illuminate and protect us, as well as to provide guidance and direction.
Let us always remember to seek the guidance of our Guardian Angels throughout our life’s journey; praying for them to assist us. And when our earthly existence draws to a close, may our Guardian Angels lead us on our journey to heaven.
I thank God for those people in my life who have been like angels to me! With every support, encouragement, prayer, and in all ways.
I wish you a pleasant day and a weekend filled with grace. May our Guardian Angels continue to intercede for us and watch over us.
