Tinubu Mourns Former CAF President Issa Hayatou

The former president of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Issa Hayatou, passed away, and President Bola Tinubu has expressed his sorrow.

Remember that on Thursday, Hayatou passed away at the age of 77.

Tinubu expressed his condolences to the Cameroonian Football Federation, the people of Cameroon, and the African football community in a statement provided by his spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale.

He emphasized the iconic football administrator’s contributions to the growth of the sport in Africa and beyond, calling his demise a great loss.

Hayatou has served as the acting President of FIFA, the global governing body of football, on one occasion.

Tinubu prayed for his family’s resilience during this trying time and for the deceased’s soul to rest in peace.

My sincere sympathy and condolences to his family on the loss of their father.

Live with Purpose, Love with Passion. Remember to be happy

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
