Tonto Dikeh Addresses Challenges and Lessons from Her Music Career

Nollywood actress and politician Tonto Dikeh has disclosed that the primary cause of her music career’s failure was the unfavorable influence of her closest friends.

Tonto announced this on her Instagram page on Friday while performing Don Moen’s “God is Good.”

The 40-year-old movie star thought back on her brief career in music, which started in 2013 with the publication of songs like “Hi,” “Crazically Fit,” and “Jeje,” as well as joint ventures with well-known musicians Terry G and Solid Star.

She said, “If I could sing ehn, una for don Dey sick of me….

“Like you don’t even understand, Likkeeeeeeeeeeee who is Tiwa? Who is Whitney, who is cece winas? Taaaaahhhhhhh.

“Watching this video reminds me of the time I had the worst kind of friends who pushed me to release album.

“Look sneeze/sniper and co your bedroom is been reserved in hell. Moral of this lesson choose your friends wisely more importantly be wise.”

Always stay true to yourself and your desires. Never allow friends or anyone else to pressure you into doing something you’re not comfortable with or that doesn’t align with your values. Your happiness and authenticity should always come first.

Live with Purpose, Love with Passion. Remember to be happy

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
