Two Arrested As Police Foil Armed Robbery Attack On Abuja Estate

The FCT police command successfully thwarted an armed robbery attempt at Royal Court Estate, Jahi II, Abuja, and apprehended two individuals during the operation.

The perpetrators, named Rabiu Jubril and Ibrahim Isa, both from Tipper Garage, Jahi, had stormed the estate with weapons and attempted to steal vehicles before the FCT Police Command’s operatives arrived at the location.

SP Josephine Adeh, the FCT Police spokesperson, verified the event, stating,
“On March 27, 2025 at about 3:20 a.m., operatives of the Mabushi Division responded swiftly to a distress call reporting ongoing robbery at Royal Court Estate, Jahi II.

Upon arrival at the scene, the Police operatives were engaged in a gun duel by the hoodlums. However, the suspects were overpowered by the superior firepower of the Police and attempted to flee with gunshot injuries.”

Adeh further explained that a vigorous chase followed, resulting in the capture of two suspects, both residents of Tipper Garage, Jahi.

She noted that the police seized two locally fabricated firearms and three allegedly stolen vehicles: Black Toyota Matrix (Reg. No. NBS 348 CP), Black Toyota Venza (Reg. No. ABJ 105 AV), and Grey Lexus IS350 (Reg. No. RSH 295 CB).

Additionally, electronic gadgets such as two MacBook Pro laptops, one Lenovo laptop, one iPad, one PS4 gaming console, one Canon IP1224 camera, and one drone camera were all retrieved from the suspects.

“The suspects are currently in custody and will be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations,” SP Adeh added.
In the meantime, CP Ajao Adewale, the Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, has encouraged residents to adopt proactive security steps, especially by equipping their vehicles with tracking devices, as this greatly improves recovery efforts in the unfortunate case of theft or robbery.

A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.
