When You Go Visit The Bereaved, Do You Have To Eat? – Media Personality, Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi Queries Nigerians

Nigerian OAP and podcast host, Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi, has queried Nigerians who eat when paying condolence visits.

In a post she shared on X, Gbemi asked them if eating at a place where they are mourning doesn’t make them feel a certain type of way.

She wrote;

‘’Don’t fight me o. When you go visit the bereaved, do you have to eat? Can’t you sit with them for some time & leave? Even if they offer you food, don’t you feel somehow eating ? They are mourning for goodness sake, why are you adding to their bills? No food in your house?”

Personally I don’t think it’s wise for you to eat while paying a condolence visit to a bereaved but those who are close to the grieving family can gently make sure that they don’t miss their meals by preparing something for them.

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
