One of the hardest things you may ever have to do in life is to deliver an apology. Many people say a quick “I’m sorry” without really thinking about it, because they want to move on or simply have their own way. However, this waters down the value of an apology, and can mean that a person you truly care about grows to doubt you and your sincerity. Britney Spears assured her fans before that she was ‘ok’ while they expressed concern over her wellbeing and now, she is apologizing for lying to them! Following her first public court appearance regarding her conservatorship battle, the singer took to her Instagram page to admit her life is ‘not perfect at all’ – not for any lack of pretending!
Here’s why Britney Spears previously chose to lie about this!
The pop princess went on to claim that pretending she was doing perfectly fine before actually helped her cope with the conservatorship under her father.
‘Believe it or not pretending that I am ok has actually helped.’

‘I do not want people to think that my life is perfect because IT IS DEFINITELY NOT AT ALL…and if you’ve read anything about me in the news this week…you obviously know now it is not. I apologize for pretending like I have been ok the past 2 years…I did it [because] of my pride and was embarrassed to share what happened to me,’ Britney wrote in her latest post on her go-to platform.
Britney explained why she chose to share this quote, saying: ‘if you are going through hell…I feel like Instagram has really helped me have a cool outlet to share my presence… my existence…and simply feel like I matter despite what I was going through and it worked … so I have decided to start reading more fairy tales. I just want to tell you a little secret…I believe we all want the fairy tale life and by the way I have posted, my life seems to look and be pretty amazing…I think that is what we all strive for.’
This comes after Britney finally spoke up about her father’s abusive conservatorship, going as far as to compare Jamie Spears to a ‘sex trafficker!’.
A true and sincere apology offers real regret and remorse for our faction’s, and carries a promise that we won’t do it again. It means acknowledging our faults, taking responsibility for the things we have done wrong. Kudos to Spears for this great move.
