Davido Set To Launch New Label With UnitedMasters

Grammy-nominated singer Davido is embarking on a new journey in his music business with an American distribution franchise, UnitedMasters.

The Grammy nominee has partnered with UnitedMasters to form Nine+ Records, a label that will expand beyond Afrobeats to include hip-hop, R&B, Latin, and country genres.

The billboard said on Instagram:  “Davido is embarking on a new chapter in his career as a as a full-fledged executive.

“The three-time Grammy nominee has signed a deal with UnitedMasters (which recently launched in Nigeria) to start a new label called Nine+ Records, which will cast not just Afrobeats talent but will venture into the realms of hip-hop, R&B, Latin, country and more.”

Captioning the UnitedMasters CEO Steve Stoute statement about the new venture, they added: “I see [Davido] as an entrepreneur that could build the next Bad Boy, the next Death Row and the next label that has a significant impact like a Cash Money.”

I firmly believe that success lies in the combination of both talent and business savvy, and that the magic comes through when they come together.

Live with Purpose, Love with Passion. Remember to be happy

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
