Focus On Yourself And Your Identity

Focus On Yourself And Your Identity

The lawyers and Pharisees were observing Jesus in today’s gospel. They were watching him as to whether he will cure the man with dropsy on the Sabbath? People will observe you and watch for your weaknesses. You do not live your life to please them . Focus on yourself and your identity; do not live to shield yourself from others’ scrutiny.

Again, we see the power of God who knows the secrets and thoughts of men. The lawyers and Pharisees kept silent because they know that Jesus will give this man something they don’t have. At the end, He exposed their hypocrisy.
There is nothing we can hide from God.

Just as He knows the thoughts of them all. He knows the thoughts of the man with dropsy. His body was swollen with excess fluid in his tissues but could not mention it because of the horrid scoffers lurking around in silence. Probably he was intimidated by their perception of life but Christ was never intimidated. He does all kinds of good works and wonders. He does all things well!

What about you? What is it that you do better that you have not put your best in it? What stops you from doing good works? What has become a barrier for you against your prayer time and selfless services? Are you irritated or intimidated by people around you? Are yo I afraid because of the sentiments from those around you?Are you compassionate towards others? May God continue to feed us with His finest wheat. He pastures the lamb in his arm. May he shower His blessings upon us all. Amen.

Let us fix our minds on the will of God and focus on things we want to achieve. With such an attitude, you can become the best of the best in whatever place you find yourself.

Today's Quote

“A lot of companies have chosen to downsize, and maybe that was the right thing for them. We chose a different path. Our belief was that if we kept putting great products in front of customers, they would continue to open their wallets.”
