I Won Ballon d’Or Because I’ve Been Consistent – Rodri

Rodri, the Manchester City and Spain midfielder, has explained why he believes he was crowned the 2024 Ballon d’Or winner.

Many football fans were shocked when Rodri unexpectedly won the coveted individual award, defeating favorite Vinicius Junior in the process.

Aside from helping City keep their Premier League championship, Rodri was a member of the Spanish team that won the 2024 Euros and was voted Player of the Tournament, something Rodri believes was well deserved.

Rodri, who is anticipated to miss the remainder of the season due to injury, likened Erling Haaland to Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

He added:“The most decisive player in the world in terms of numbers is Erling Haaland.

“He’s the only player who could come close to Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

“He is also very young and will be there for many years.”
