It Is We Against The World

Saturday of the 5th week of Eastertide

Acts 16:1-10
Psalm 99(100):1-3,5
John 15:18-21

Christians are called to shine brightly with love, while the world often finds itself engulfed in hatred and darkness. From the moment we choose to love and obey Christ, we can expect a wave of opposition. The world may not welcome our refusal to indulge in sinful and selfish behavior, and that’s when the true battle begins.

This fierce hatred can take on many forms: trials that challenge our faith, persecutions that test our resolve, mockery that tries to break our spirit, and oppression that looms over us. But remember, the enemy’s playbook is clear: to kill, to steal, and to destroy. Yet, even in the face of such evil, we stand firm!

As devoted Christians, we’re faced with a powerful choice: we can’t just have it all; we must boldly choose to stand on the Lord’s side by living out His command to love. The truth is a mighty force, and it will relentlessly pursue those who turn away from it. So let’s dive into the scriptures, allow the Holy Spirit to guide us, and spread the word of God far and wide!

We have a mission! Step beyond your comfort zone, for there is help needed on the other side. Let your light shine, O Lord! Let’s illuminate the world around us!

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
