LeBron James Plays Alongside His Son In Pre-Season Outing
LeBron James and his son Bronny played together for the Los Angeles Lakers, they’ve created NBA history.
Bronny James, who was selected by the Lakers in the second round of the draft from the University of Southern California in June, joined his father on the court as a second-round substitution in a preseason game against the Phoenix Suns.
They became the first father-son team to play in the same NBA game On Bronny’s 20th birthday.
LeBron James, 39, is regarded as one of the greatest players of all time and holds the record for most points scored in the NBA. He has also won four NBA championships. His first game of an NBA season that will set a record was played on this day. He had just returned from winning gold at the Olympics in Paris with the United States.
The eldest son of the man, Bronny James, had surgery last year to fix a congenital heart abnormality that was found when he suffered a cardiac collapse during a summer workout. After looking over his medical documents, the NBA’s panel of three doctors determined that he was fit to play in May.
He made his Lakers debut in their opening pre-season games against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday. Bronny James played about nine minutes in the second half as the Lakers lost 118-114 to the Suns.
