Man Arrested For Engaging Mom & 14yrs-Old Daughter In Unlawful Sexual Activity

A CNN employee; John Griffin has been accused of luring a mother and her young daughter into his home to ‘train’ them to be sexually submissive.

Griffin, who worked on the CNN show ‘New Day’, was charged with three charges of ‘using the facilitation of interstate commerce to abuse underage girls’.

A Vermont grand jury charged Griffin, 44, from Stamford, Connecticut, of attempting to entice girls to engage in sexual activity.

According to the indictment, between April and July of 2020, Griffin used the messaging application Kik and Google Hangouts to communicate with people who claimed to be parents of minor daughters, asking them for other considerations. With, stating that ‘a woman is a woman, regardless of her age,’ and that women should be sexually subservient and inferior to men, according to a Justice Department statement on the matter.

Griffin, who was a producer with CNN, is alleged to have tried to persuade parents to allow them to ‘train their daughters to be sexually submissive’.

The statement said that he ‘attempted to entice two other children on the internet to engage in sexual activities.’

In June 2020, Griffin told a mother of two girls, ages 9 and 13, that they needed to ‘train properly’ their daughters.

Griffin is alleged to have sent her $3,000 to pay for plane tickets so that she could travel with her daughters from Nevada to Boston. indictment. After the trio left for Boston, Griffin collected them at the airport before taking them to his home in Ludlow, Vermont.

Prosecutors say the girl was forced to engage in illegal sexual contact. Other charges in the indictment detail how Griffin allegedly tried to woo two other children online to participate in sexual activities.

In April 2020, Griffin coordinated a ‘virtual training session’ in which he instructed a woman and her 14-year-old daughter to take off their clothes during a video chat.

Two months later, in June 2020, prosecutors claimed that Griffin offered to pay a woman and her 16-year-old daughter to come to his ski house in Vermont for sexual ‘training’ involving teens.

Griffin is said to have “sexually trained girls when they were 7 years old,” according to the indictment.

In each case, Griffin faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in prison.

“We take the allegations against Mr. Griffin incredibly seriously,” a CNN spokesperson said on Friday. ‘We got to know about his arrest only this afternoon and he has been suspended pending investigation.’

Griffin began working with CNN in 2013, working on New Day when Chris Cuomo was its host.

His most recent role saw him starring as a producer on CNN’s senior political analyst John Avalon.

The federal government intends to seek forfeiture of his Ludlow house, his Tesla, a Mercedes, and other property that was used in the commission of the charged offenses, authorities said.
