Mark Zuckerberg And Wife Priscilla Chan Sued By Former House Staff

Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan are facing a lawsuit from former house staff who allege they were subjected to abuse under their employment.

According to the Telegraph, the staff claim they were the targets of homophobic, racist and sexist discrimination. The lawsuit specifically accuses Zuckerberg’s head of security, Liam Booth.

One staff member, Mia King, alleges that Booth called her “ghetto” and claimed she was only hired to meet diversity pledges. Another staff member, known as John Doe, accused Booth of groping him and imitating sex acts in front of witnesses.

It is also claimed that Booth once remarked that the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, was “polluting the royal bloodline”.

Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan are accused of accommodating an environment where such discrimination could take place. In a statement, the couple denied any wrongdoing.

“The family office takes complaints of workplace misconduct very seriously and promptly investigates all such matters. In this case, almost all of the allegations in these complaints were first raised through counsel, after both employees had left the company, and in connection with significant monetary demands.”

“Following these thorough investigations, these allegations simply could not be substantiated,” said the statement. “We firmly believe that these employees were treated fairly and respectfully and the family office is confident that it will defeat these claims.”

Facebook is currently combating a whistleblower scandal accusing the company of gross mishandling of misinformation.
