NNPP Abia State Chairman, Ogaranya Mourns Kano Athletes, Condoles State govt And Families

NNPP Abia State Chairman; Hon. Ogaranya Ifemeje, and members of state, local government, and ward excos, have expressed sorrow over members of the Kano State contingent who died in a road crash while returning from the just-concluded National Sports Festival held in Ogun State.

Hon. Ogaranya Ifemeje mourns Kano athletes and families of 21 athletics that was involved in the gasoline accidents at the sports festival at Ogun state during their return back to Kano state

The accident, which occurred on Saturday at Gadar Yankifi in Garun Mallam Local Government Area, claimed the lives of several athletes, coaches, and officials, just a few kilometers from the Kano metropolis.

The chairman also condoles the National Leader of New Nigerian Peoples’ Party (NNPP); His Excellency Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the state Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir, and the mobilization team led by Dr. Mahmood Gaya of Kano state.

In a condolence message sent by the NNPP Abia state chairman, Ogaranya described the incident as heartbreaking and prayed for divine mercy on the deceased and speedy recovery for those injured.

May God grant all those who lost their lives eternal rest and quicken the recovery of the injured,” the Hon. Ogaranya Ifemeje wrote.
