Obasanjo Reveals The Only Pastor That Will Make Heaven

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has revealed which Christian leader in Nigeria he believes will make heaven.

Obasanjo believes that the late Prelate Emeritus of the Methodist Church of Nigeria, Dr Sunday Mbang, CON, is the only Christian leader in Nigeria who will go to heaven.

Obasanjo made the remarks today, August 11, at the late Prelate’s funeral in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. The former Nigerian President was the event’s Special Guest of Honor.

Obasanjo stated that the late Prelate was not just straightforward, but also devoid of emotions. He stated that shortly after his release from prison, when pressure was on him to become Nigeria’s President, one of the famous Nigerians he consulted across the country was the late Prelate Emeritus Mbang, and he benefited greatly from his guidance.

Obasanjo stated that the late Prelate Emeritus was a man he sought advice from because of his forthrightness. When Governor Emmanuel Udom was in charge of activities in Akwa Ibom State and he wanted to seek Mbang’s advice on any pressing subject, he would visit the state under the guise of wanting to see the governor, but the person he was going to see was the late Prelate Emeritus.

Mbang, the former President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and the first black President of the World Methodist Council, died on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. He was 86 years old.
