Portable Released After Meeting Bail Condition

Portable, a singer, has been released after meeting bail conditions.

The musician was taken into custody after failing to make the last payment on a G-Wagon he had purchased from a car dealer.

Punch claims that the car dealer would usually tell him that the car wasn’t good when he called to ask him to pay the remaining amount.

The car dealer reportedly reported the issue to the police and policemen assigned to Portable after becoming frustrated with the attempts to get the latter to pay the remaining amount.

The car was reportedly purchased for N27 million, but Portable only paid N13 million for it, refusing to pay the remaining N14 million even after the car dealer urged him to.

He was arrested for allegedly refusing to pay a N14 million debt incurred when purchasing a G-Wagon from a car dealer in Lagos State.

He said, “Yes, Portable has been arrested. He bought G-Wagon for N27m, paid N13m and refused to pay the rest, claiming the vehicle was bad. We arrested him today.”

However, Benjamin Hundeyin, the state’s police spokesperson, confirmed Portable’s release on Wednesday, May 15, saying, “He’s been granted bail.”

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
